YouTube video in OP above is shortened.. but in the independent news link video clearly shows a pedestrian walking along the footpath (sidewalk) and passing a bus stop as the truck enters and crosses the cross road and explodes just where the pedestrian ought to be. For sure he should be done for right? But in Sydney's 7 news twitter feed they've edited the guy out. Why? Fair enough. The blast though appears unedited. If I watch and try to extrapolate the pedestrians position as truck enters the frame and explodes, I cannot see how the pedestrian was not killed by blast. They must have been in a straight line between the back and the cab (which could have shielded a bit). But at least they'd have a serious ring in their ears. . Is reality based on geometry?
