I'm just sitting in the passenger seat while my wife drives down an interstate on our way to visit some relatives before Christmas
I got lost in my thoughts about Where I was 14 years ago at this time ... becuase of a song that came on the radio called "Some Gave All"
It was operation phantom fury or the second battle of Fullajah and it was some really nasty urban fighting ....
Some of my dearest friends didn't make it home like I did after Fallujah
It seems like only yesterday yet it's been almost a decade and half now ...
Sometimes I feel that there are to few Americans that still feel like me and are proud to be American and understand how hard it was for America even to exist at all as well as the priceless treasure of ultimate sacrifice that has got us here.... I barely recognize America anymore as it becomes more berated by leftists and globalists and communists ...
If anyone could do me the honor of embedding this song link below and maybe say thanks to those that never got to go home from 1776 -2018 I would appreciate it dearly
Semper Fi
P.S. please don't get political ... when a soldier, airman, sailor, or marine is in combat he is only fighting to keep his friends alive when the bullets start flying no one gives two shits about politics but rather just keeping each other alive ... so I don't care what your thoughts about why we were there ... it's irrelevant as we were there
