Here is a 320 Gigapixel photo from London in 2012 (time of the Olympics)

On this 360 degree picture you can easily see the expressions on people's faces from probably 2 miles away if you magnify in. Pretty neat!!

Yes, we still have our infrastructure from 50 - 70 years ago. Shanghai is about 10 - 30 years old, I think the Maglev is about 15 years old, it was a demo project by a German company, but then nobody else wanted them or everyone ran out of money for such things. The track has to be kept very flat, and that's a challenge in swampy Shanghai.

If we do infrastructure here in the USA, it shouldn't just be a refresh of what we have. It should be newer than what Shanghai has.

I found a large, newly-built roundabout. A bus driver didn’t stay in the lane, and it caused a little traffic jam. Also a long, low beautiful bridge that I wish I could drive over, if only once!

They sure do have that pack ‘n’ stack housing, tho.

Things I didn’t see were homeless people or litter on the streets, which are part of the landscape in other countries.
