Really, there is a huge lack of supporting evidence for anything around the time of Jesus, almost as if it's intentionally been hidden or destroyed. If you want hard evidence, look at the metals. There is a lot of discussion and evidence for oxhide copper being mined in America and being shipped to the Mediterranean in the Bronze Age.
