Doom is like the concept of tomorrow. It's always so close you can almost see it. You know it's going to happen. Except tomorrow never comes. The concept exists and its certain, but somehow, we'll always be stuck in today.

Doom is going on all the time, it's just very very slow or very very so obviously in our faces that we aren't seeing it.

I mean, you know.. 100ish years of people breathing in car fumes? That's totally new, who knows what kind of damage this is doing to the species.

During operation Barbarosa the Germans attacked Russia in the winter.

Russia lost 500,000 people, (troops and citizens), a day for 13 days.
Then they had to still fight on for a winter and then some to save their country.
