I'm told this was the hold up all along the libs wanted to name the next justice. Hearing trump is caving under the pressure of the shut down. Hope this is wrong but it's good intel just passing it along.

1) Trump agrees to the deal.
2) Dems add wall funding to House spending bill.
3) Senate approves bill.
4) Trump signs bill.
5) Trump nominates whoever Dems select.
6) Senate does not confirm nominee.
7) SCOTUS seat remains empty indefinitely.
8) Conservatives effectively gain one seat advantage.

If Trump locks the court conservative, he can do whatever he wants with the wall. Congress's only recourse against him would be if the court rules against him. If he locks the court in his favor, they can go pound sand (even if they *use* Roberts agains)

This sounds good. Might not be a bad a deal as people think on the surface. Let them have 1 and then get the wall and then ICE and Border Patrol can go apeshit deporting/denying people entry. No citizenship for DACA and he can throw it in the DEMS faces that they didn't really care about them anyway, they only wanted power.

No I work behind enemy lines (a news outlet) and people were talking about it today. I doubt and hope its not true, but I figured I would would let you guys know first. It sounds like this was the only way to get a deal done so it comes down to do we want the wall or the justice spot. I suppose he can keep the government shit down but that is good for no one. Maybe a compromise where he will give the dems a say in who he chooses as opposed to letting them just select the judge. I guess we will know more in the next few days. Just giving you guys a heads up as to what is going around.
