I'm almost certain this was a infraction level offense.
And don't want to drive to Salem, Oregon where i think the nearest federal court is. That is, if they even mail my citation during this government shutdown.

Technically, I was in violation of that law, but we've been doing this for years (shooting targets while standing on a dirt road)
Even game wardens and department of forestry vehicles in the past would just drive by after we'd stop shooting and step aside for them.
