BLM is subject to the shutdown, but BLM law enforcement personnel are excepted (like air traffic controllers, Border Patrol, etc.). That means they're working but not getting paid, so odds are they're even more cranky than usual.
Quoting: ToSeek Good point there. Thing was, they weren't the BLM cops i usually see. (The BLM is Department of forestry, right?) These guys were also federal according to their vehicle plates, but drove different vehicles than the usual BLM, different uniforms, and worked in pairs. And they didn't seem local to this area.
