Thai cave rescue: parents lied to. Kids drugged and handcuffed. Doctors requested diplomatic immunity

Exactly the scenario I worked out to save their lives.
They HAD to be drugged unconscious, they HAD to be fed Oxygen non-stop, and they HAD to prevented from any random movement.
My theory was to tightly wrap them in cling film type material, tight enough (mummy style)
to prevent struggling, and flexible enough to bend around the corners of the tunnels.

Worked perfectly, the kids lived.

The optics on that, necessary or not, are bad enough where dumb mob % is concerned. Not to mention the 200 opportunistic lawsuits now/later lawsuits and claims that keep you tied up in thai bullsheet 20 years or un grandstanding, whatever?

Nothing can fk your life up on you like helping some bunch, unless that bunch is govt and its even worse.

Anybody would do that and just be hoping they get out alive.

Let alone if one of the little things had died or gotten brain damage/coma period, whatever - but just even openly honestly asking the question and answering that is some gordian knot of stupid others can waste thier time with.

If you are going to have to face a state medical review or federal judge over a job or judgement call where injury/death ensued, you sure wouldn't want it to be in thailand!

Yeah not really and it was because those guys said it would not work that they chose the alternate plan. They did not want to develop on his and time seemed obvious enough....but he made that crack....and never really said "why?"....and I don't doubt it.

But I doubt either dr knew up front they were doping boys for a booger, could see the obvious circumstances and it was the whole gov and everybody involved, not them really doing much of the directing/authorising of anything.

Really. Why was a man with a bunch of boys deep in a cave to begin with. People will go to great lengths to hide their activity. No witnesses deep inside that cave!!!

But again the MSM makes a "heroic" story out of the whole thing without delivering the truth.

The truth is in the hands of the First Responders and Judicial System.

Remember the bit about the Thai Water Authority President and a few of his staff headed into the caves without telling the official rescue party? They took pumping equipment and enough food and supplies to last several weeks.

In there for several days and no alarm was raised to say they were missing. Their presence was only discovered after they got trapped and the official rescue party found them inside the cave.

Weird.

If anything goes wrong...the government never takes the blame. They'll blame the foreigners.

Of course...they had to fly in dozens of white guys to save those kids. From U.K., Aus and USA. They had no one locally that could do it

I said it caught my eye. I didn’t say it was strange, nefarious or that I had a problem with it.

Did I say there was a crime? Am I suggesting there was actual wrongdoing? Nope.

Yep! All the cave diving experts at the rescue advised the Thai government that the flexible submarines would not work.

The kids were happy to be drugged and handcuffed and it saved their lives. Their parents could not be told because they might have objected and forced the government not to sedate the boys. The divers knew that this would risk the rescue to the point that some of the boys would die. So their parents could not be told.

the case is connected to human trafficking. without the flooding, we would have never heard of them.
call it a divine intervention. but the coach is not innocent guy. now they made it into a cash cow ritual. don't buy the book.

note: why 12? 12=L. No soccer team only has 12 players.

It was the only way to retrieve them. Sedated and secure, not ssure why the parents are so upset, all of their children SSURVIVED unharmed. It was a risky procedure but well worth iit.

it is heavy and you have to get it in there for one..

also the area was shaped like a serpentine shape on the horizontal.. picture it... areas where there was water and breaks or openings.. that is why they used divers because no water craft of any kind could go straight through.

Never thought about it much but now that it comes out, it makes total sense. If they had been conscious they would have had to deal with their panic & claustrophobia. Of course now dozens of people will be coming out saying "I told you that's what they were going to do...." yet I don't recall hearing anyone say "the kids need to be sedated". LOL.

As an experienced rescue diver of over 25 years, you can use pure oxygen underwater - depends on depth and partial pressures. But yes I think they were referring to normal air tanks with a forced flow full face mask.

Although not being sure about depth or what drugs they used on them - It could of been pure O2.

Good. As a low-skilled diver myself, I know cave diving is very hard. Teach the kids to do it over a few days? No way, they would panic, forget things, get themselves and maybe the rescuers killed.

O2 would have been OK, but so would regular air, or nitrox or trimix. The pressure at almost zero depth would not cause any risk of oxygen toxicity.

It doesn't bother me HOW they got them out. It's how they felt they needed to LIE to the parents about it. It shows how far this world has turned into a snowflake ridden pansy party.

You need to knock my kid out or they'll die? Knock away. At least they have a chance that way.
