As for the Senate, Trump didn't even try to put any supporters in office, even in positions that wouldn't require Senate approval. He never even put out any names that were not already part of the SYSTEM. I expect a man to fight for his SUPPORTERS, not for people who hate him, or didn't support him, or backstab him, or leak on him, all of which many of these appointees have done.

There's no excuse for Trump not hiring ANY supporters for ANY positions. Even Kelly Anne Conway was a never Trumper - he should have stuck with Lewandowski. If he'd done that, he wouldn't have fallen into the MANAFORT TRAP.

Just about everyone knows a typically liberal/leftist/libtarded person in one's own family, among co-workers, friends, neighbors. That "progressive" may be very friendly, even loyal.

Trying to deal with people like that in a professional setting is not an easy task. Made tougher because most people tend to be low-key about their political biases and preferences.

Agreed.....however....a thought just came to mind. Say President Trump knows, with absolute certainty, that he's going to be cleared of the "Russian collusion" bullshit. Say he knows that this is going to be released in the not-to-distant future. Had he elected someone he'd known or been associated with somehow, in the past, someone who could be, in any way, "favorable" to President Trump, it would be spun as a sign of the "criminal interference in the investigation by Trump's AG".

It is TRUMP who puts in the names. He doesn't have to pick any name they give him. He can ask people like Rand Paul, Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan, Ed Rollins, any number of conservative Republicans who could actually give him the names of DECENT people to nominate, whom Trump would have to fight for. I don't see the point in nominating people who are either USELESS or who are going to hurt me or my base. WHAT is the point of that, just to get a body in the seat?
