The girl in the bakery

I get fresh bread in the morning. It’s a three minute walk, but time stands still when I’m thinking whether she is going to be in or not. There is something about her so familiar, I know she feels the same when we meet eyes.

As I approach the window i see a women with her back towards me. She turns before I can take another breath, it’s the girl in the bakery. I give her money, she gives me bread...but in between time stands and watches us play and dance together. I thank and smile, and this time I even winked at her. The entire way home I was smiling like a kid with two scoops of chocolate ice cream. Do I love her? Perhaps love at the first sight? I don’t know, I really don’t know.
