This is a silly question. But I pose it none the less . If you hate flying and are scared of it would you still fly for a nice vacation?

I have not been on a vacation in like 5 years . My family invited me to go to Disney world in Orlando during the food and wine festival later this year . If you hate flying and are scared of it would you still fly for a cool vacation?

Like I might go but lie and say I got a ticket and really drive lol.

As I said I know it’s rediculous but flying is seriously horrifying to me.

I even bought some books that help with flying and everything they say I’m like okay but . Lol.

As a former flight crewmember, I can assure you that flying is just fine...you will be well and enjoy the trip!

I always tried to explain the thrill of the mechanics and physics of it...it's fascinating and a trip to truly understand the "how" of it.

I loved flying and sought every opportunity to get out there.

I wished I kept track of how much/how far etc. But, I can assure you that I've done hundreds of thousands of miles. And, being honest, yes, I have had some rough trips and incidences. Take note...I NEVER felt that things were out of control or felt scared of it.

Seriously, enjoy the flight and get pics and share later!!!

If that's one way, there's nothing in Orlando that's worth 7 days behind the wheel, except maybe your family.

Yes 3-4 days one way . The old me could of done it straight in probably 2 days a little under but I can’t drive like that anymore . I would space it to 4 . 10-12 hours a day on the road .

3-4 days one way?

Flying was fun, window seat (not over the wing) great views.

Flying now can be frustrating (valium helps), pat downs, weird rules ( Sorry this shampoo is to big...),Confusing airports.....

Flying is (IMHO) safer than driving, We have many drivers that are idiots. (left lane hogs, tailgaters ...)

If You do not have a pathological fear and can put up with the frustrations ( Smile and be amused by people watching)....Fly.

JMHO YMMV

I would take a sail-boat every year as the vacation. If you are going to sink and die it hardly matters where you are on the planet when it happens.

I hate flying. I have driven across the country more times than anybody I know. I would totally fly to a place that I cannot get to otherwise. But, if it is on this continent, I am driving or taking a train.

Nope.

By boat.
or nothing.

An originally/traditionally made 'junk' is preferred, but a similar 'timber' vessel will do, in a pinch.

There are NO silly questions.

Ever.
