I am Spanish and I have some Venezuelan friends....

This is what is said right now:

- Maduro will try to arrest Juan Guaido.
- Maduro will start shooting protesters in the next hours.
- There could be some Army divisions coming out and rebelling in the next hours.
- Maduro expects the backing of Russia and China, but it is not clear at the moment. If they do, all gloves are off. Civil war could follow.
- Protesters will not empty the streets until Maduro is overthrow or they are crushed by the regime
- Guaido could ask for US or Western military intervention if scores of protesters are killed
