Condition water to an 5.2 PH
Raise water Temperature to 65 C
Add grist ( desired amount of ground malted barley)
1 hour starch conversion
Separate wort from the spend grains
Bring to a boil 90 min
Add hops on a hop schedule
Cool
Add yeast
Aerate
Ferment
Rack off to a secondary fermenter to clear with Irish moss
Transfer to a Cornelius Keg
Carbonate
Wait

Bingo.... freshest damn beer you ever drank

Storing ground flour is almost impossible, it goes rancid so quickly (less than a month). Whole wheat can be stored in a 5 gallon bucket for years if it is nitrogen packed and sealed.

To use the wheat, it can be soaked in water, then "ground" easily in a blender for bread, pancake, cracker making. This system obviates the need for yeast when you get the hang of it.

Taking care of SMELLS.

I use two sprays.

One is PURE CITRUS ORANGE AIR FRESHNER.

OZIUM, can take out any smell even smoke, super serious spray.

Both can be found on Walmart shelves with a little searching.

SAVING GARDEN SEEDS.

Ensure your seeds are dry.

I use the foil package from individual tea bags.

I up cycle these foil package from individual tea bags.

I air these out first. Blow them out with my hair dryer.

Add the seeds. Then use a curling iron to reseal the packages.

Label them with name & date.

These tiny packets are simply perfect.

When the power went out for a week, I had to work through this problem. I have water. Daily I filled my own thermos with hot water. At the end of the day, I took the dirty rags and washed and rinsed with the left over warm water, line dry. Nothing nasty piled up.

Weekly bath water was used for bigger items. I wore the clothes for as long as possible, keeping the load as small as possible. Animal water trough and plunger.
I also used a bucket with mop wringer to squeeze dry for the jeans and larger items.

This is one of the largest possible ice events I can remember. Ice brings down power lines. If we see outages across multiple states a number of you may be relying on wood heat, gas stoves, and IBGs...

Everyone has different access to preps. Some have a full propane house gen backup, some tons of battery storage from a proper solar system, many of you though probably fall into the IBG category.

For most of you out there with IBGs... "Iddy Biddy Generators"... you have limited capacity the heat "space" with electric.

A standard space heater is 1500 watts. If you have a small generator this will run it at pretty fair load. Burning though gas quickly. Your roads and access to fuel, especially if pumps are down may be limited.

A small inverter generator with eco mode, or a decent sized battery bank... you can run a heated blanket for much longer with much much less draw.

"HEAT THE PERSON not THE SPACE".

Placing a heated blanket on your couch you and your family can post up, stay super toasty, and only draw between 50 to 100 watts max off your solar battery bank or IBG.
