I slow cooked a beef roast at about 200 degrees (covered)...when it had an hour to go I added a cup of white rice.

The rice soaked up all the fat & cooked very well...but I really didn't want to eat rice that was that fattening (I had 2 spoonsfull).

I decided to put that fatty rice in baggies & freeze it...it should be great in a soup!

Great idea! I think many people forget that we will require fats in our post-HTF diets to survive. Your fatty rice might turn out to be a life-saver!

For those not aware of the body's need for essential fatty acids, please purchase and store quantities of "good" fats - olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, etc. Part of the reason, I believe, in reducing all protein availability has been to reduce access to fats, as well. Very dangerous business. Please acquire and store these things. I store the oils in my freezer as they do not seem to deteriorate at all that way.

One more thing - if you have oil that turns rancid eventually, DO NOT DISCARD. Use that oil as moisturizer for hands and feet, for animals, and to burn as "candles" for light.

Remember that everything will have a use, as long as we don't discard it.
