Crunch62, your explanation of harvesting your olive oil was not one bit boring! It was fascinating!

So much work and expense - wow! You always have the best methods of figuring out ways to accomplish the things!

I'm surprised - or maybe not - that so much equipment is required, yet those are mostly one-time purchases. The result, home-grown real olive oil with no excipients, entirely home-grown and home-processed - amazing! I love this! Despite the work, if I could afford the equipment and had the trees, I'd o it, too! In a heartbeat! Very wise of you to have prepared, and so early, for good fats!! They will be desperately required in times of famine for the human body as well as for our pets.

What really hurts me is that you found these trees at GO - that's where all my fruit trees and blueberries have come from over the years. I look through a group of fruit trees, perhaps four or five trees, and if all are the same or similar, I stop looking, and must thereby have missed the olive trees. Aargh!! I'll do better at looking in future!

You are a very smart man, and very efficient and productive. You are a blessing in this thread as teacher and demonstrater, as well as encourager - thank you for this on growing one's own olive oil!!
