. Once loaded down with everything under the sun for any contingency, bugging out, prepared to try to lift, as long as possible, I, through recent hiking experience, IT ALL DROOPS, SAGS, AND BEGINS A SLOW, AGGRIVATING PROCESS OF SLOWLY BUT SURELY, UNDER THE WEIGHT OF GRAVITY, TO SLIDE DOWN AND ATTEMPTS TO COME RIGHT OFF, LIKE A SNAKE SHEDS IT'S SKIN. THIS BEING WINTER BUG OUT HIKE TESTS GOING 20 KM OR MORE A STRETCH, LIVING WITHOUT PLUMBING. IT'S LIKE A WARM SAFE COSY MOBILE HOME, WITH NOBODY AROUND TO $@%!@# UP MY SHIT. TEMPORARY LODGINGS.

Suggesting buy a belt, suspenders, and make sure your loaded equipment has an appropriately designed harness, or you,ll be sorry-shit-assed fritz-a-matically stripped down to your emperors new clothes as former king of S-pain, unable to even retain the credentials to get back to living, once turned savage mortal beast.

Misty sees all Love this post - the honesty and experience are delectable. Thank you for sharing your very instructive experience, which one can immediately grasp as reality and something to prevent.

Re: suspenders.
Get the kind that attach to the pants with buttons. Not those silly little clasps that always break. And then you lose the piece that fell off and you can't fix it.

Bailey's sells the good suspenders and the pants that have the buttons. www.baileysonline.com

They also sell the buttons, so that you can retrofit other pants. They call them 'bachelor buttons' because you don't need to sew them on. You just need a knife and a hammer.
