Reading my own post and need to clarify.

I plan to sell three of the cows in the back pasture. No room in the freezer for so many. The one I will slaughter is a young Jersey bull so worth more as hamburger and soup bones.

There were TWO trunks on that oak, not "tow". Duh.

I should add that my productivity is down since I passed 70. I planned all of my tree felling and firewood prep for January. Behind schedule but I can keep cutting thru the Summer.

We will end up with years of firewood. TBH, I am prepping so that my wife will never run out even if I am not here someday to fell trees and split wood.

Every prep I do is with my wife and extended family in mind. Not just working for personal survival.
