The ship is like a city then you get to see some interesting other countries. My favorite places so far have been Belize and roatan island Honduras. (visiting the sloth reserve there and holding a sloth was well worth the price ) |

Quoting: Bright Side In light of the new abortion law, I cancelled all our tickets and hotels. It will cost me $150 each to rebook the plane tickets but it's well worth it. Not only do I not want to give my tourism dollars to the state, I don't want to be there when the judgement comes. What big city would y'all suggest? They're really into music... Stay away from every large Democratic State. Take them to the islands. They have great music and it will probably be cheaper. |

I've heard Branson is really nice, and has all sorts of different types of music shows and stuff. You might try Triple A (AAA) the auto people - - they have all SORTS of information about tourist destinations, tours, entertainment, etc. all over America, and if you belong to AAA you can get all sorts of discounts, maps, brochures etc. for free. Branson has 100 different shows a night! All types of music - tons of country and bluegrass and fantastic singers Home of the Oak Ridge Boys - many traveling groups too Mcheaper than you will see the SAME shows in Las Vegas Weather then is GREAT - Warm but not hot yet Lots to see and do - ride the ducks if the weather is NOT windy (the whole town mourned the tragedy last year of a sunken boat) Shopping - has THEEE OUTLET MALLS Has a LAKE - take a mini cruise on a windjammer sailboat for a couple hours on Tablerock Lake Golf - mini golf - go carts - SILVER DOLLAR CITY western town amusement - don't miss the cowboy poet - he's great - they ALL dress up like Dodge City times - Country version of Williamsburg ... Many musical family acts ... And many good bands too. Try it "What are you helping with all this helping?" Buddhist saying |

Quoting: Midwest Skeptic Unfortunately Chicago can still have really crappy weather that time of year and New Orleans has a big crime problem, one that is even venturing into the tourist areas. Besides, it's Mardi Gras season in New Orleans so everything will be insane and booked up! The crime in New Orleans isn't venturing into tourist areas - it's been there the whole time. 25 years ago the local government worked in tandem with local media to suppress news coverage. But they can't control social and alternative media so now everyone is learning what a shithole that city really is. As for Mardi Gras, it's great if you love the stench of beer, urine, vomit, sweat, garbage and sewage. New Orleans smells like that all the time but it's amplified tenfold during Mardi Gras. Might as well vacation in Baltimore. At least it won't smell as bad. |

Memphis is where it all started. Go to Sun Records and Stax Records. Drive down to Clarksdale, Mississippi from there. Quoting: MaxHeadroomIntrusion I grew up in bartlett, Tn near memphis, but I have lived in and around Memphis my entire life and I don't like it lol. I moved out to phoenix Arizona a few years ago and I regret it every time I have to come back to the east coast it sucks ass. Idk though perhaps I am just to irrationally pessimistic about my hometown but I'm just merely being honest. It is an entirely different vibe and energy out west and when I come back to Memphis it just energetically fucks me up in a really bizarre way lol. But seriously. .. There is righteousness for he who knows thyself, for the heavenly waters of the vast canvas above paints only the tapestry of eternity, the eternal harmonic radiance of pure love from which resonates beyond the facets of the physical experience, take all that comes forth into being, for your plasmic genetic makeup is only a consciously generated projection from the being within, that which is everything.... |
