This made me think of these verses.

Also, trying to describe things of which they had no scientific knowledge. ETA: At least scientific knowledge as to our understanding today. you do know that there were 15 advanced civilzations before us don't you? No, I didn't realize there were 15, but have often thought we are just in a vicious cycle of building up and tearing down, so to speak. The past couple of years, I've been reading more information, which confirmed these thoughts, but have no clue of how many "cycles" we've been through. :)
