Seems our solar system has made contact with the galactic current sheet. Beginning of September could of been quite interesting, but the helioshpere is stronger than expected. [ link to www.newsweek.com (secure)] Sounds like the earths core is rotating slower than expected. [ link to www.nationalgeographic.com (secure)] And yes; many other sources. IMHO the gig is any day to less than a year. Quoting: Broose cool links, but they have a lot of pop-ups, why do you say less than a year? any data you could share? Quoting: Storm2come I think you have most of the data. Kudos to your threads. My interpretation of bits, and pieces. How do they know the helioshpere is stronger than expected? Can't be because voyager 1, and 2 are playing tag. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72688336 I found the paper that I think your referring to. [ link to phys.org (secure)] Using observations of galactic cosmic rays—a type of highly energetic particle—from NASA's Voyager spacecraft scientists calculated the total pressure from particles in the outer region of the solar system, known as the heliosheath.[less than 50%]
