How do other countries handle illegal immigration?

If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get twelve years hard labour.

If you cross the Iranian border illegally, you are detained indefinitely. Crossing the Afgan border illegally, you get shot and buried.

Saudi Arabia yes, is a rich country to do business but if you cross the border illegally you will be jailed. If you cross the Chinese border illegally, you may never be heard from again.

Go through the normal procedure to get visa to travel to Venezuela and you will walk chest out but if you cross the border illegally you will be branded a spy and your fate will be sealed. But if you cross the Cuban border illegally, you will be thrown into political prison to rot whiles if you cross the British border illegally, you will always be asked to identify yourself where if you do not have authorization will be deported.

If you cross the United States of America border illegally, when you are lucky, you could pursue your education and do whatever business you want and for more than 15 years could not obtain your green paper to authorize your stay in the country which means you could be deported anytime when caught.

We just made a new agreement with France to deport all migrants who sneak over to the UK illegally on boats/trucks back to France for £6million because France is a safe country so they have to apply for asylum there.. lol.

And it was our Paki Home Secretary Sajid Javid that made the deal, I never would of thought I would ever praise a Paki.

Israel needs to open its borders IMMEDIATELLY, they are the most racist, xenophobic nation in existence. From The Independent:

So.. yeah.. over 60% of estonians feel immigration as threat to the country. So, we are pretty good.

Yeah, yeah, I know....that requires more staff to process in so many categories but I'd think that such a common sense suggestion would shut fuckers up in a NY second.

I'm just guessing but if the numbers were run, there'd still reflect a decrease in our illegals here.

But then I guess those folks would all flock to Spain and then make their way here. <sigh>

When you enter Germany,France and Sweden they let you set up your tent anywhere you want to and use the streets for a toilet.

The DMV around Europe has rules to prevent things like that. Maybe immigration should too.

For example, if I take my non-EU driver license and trade it in for a German license, if I then move to Sweden (not that I would), even though they allow for the trading in of German to Swedish licenses, they will not allow my trade in because they know with my having been a foreigner that Germany gave me an easy in and no road test.

I know a white dude who after years of hearings finally got Mexico citizenship because he's the head chef in a restaurant owned by a celebrity - but he had to prove he was bringing and teaching Mexicans recipes (skills) not available in Mexico.

He also had to prove he had more than $100,000 in the bank and swore to never use public assistance.

Its almost impossible to immigrate to Mexico if you are an American. Ironic.

Columbia has been VERY receptive to the huge wave of people coming out of Venezuela ... but remember when Columbia was fighting it's domestic Civil War with the Drug and Communist Gangs, Venezuela, which was the wealthiest country in South America at the time, took in Columbians without question and without restriction. (and those Columbians did go home once things finally settled down in Columbia)

Greece has also been more than generous with those coming out of the Middle East ... as long as Greece is NOT their stopping point but just a "way station".

NOBODY illegally immigrates to China that I have read about. Can't imagine why ... they currently have ONLY 1 million "Uighurs" in barbed wire fenced detention camps for "re-education".

The thing is this; A country's official stance vs. what actually happens isn't always the same.

A HUGE percentage of people living in Mexico and Central America are living there illegally. If we overstay our visas here (which everyone does), we pay $2 per day overstay.

Gringos living illegally in Mexico can be fined up to $400 and possibly removed. Working illegally holds a fine around $50.
