The past year has been tough. Fuck it, ill tell ya, nearly died through being an alcoholic. lost everything. My girl who i met when we were 16, she will be dead soon. She has succumed. Thats whats hurting, her death. I dunno what do. we cant be together anymore, i cant just let her go though. i feel her pain and its killing me. Sorry for posting this here guys, im just venting. I have no one else to talk to.

I have been doing just that!
Its been one big party for about 8 month.
pleased myself, lived like a king to be honest.
Truth is im still hurting, im fucked up!

Time...

That simple, it lessens with time.

Two years for me this last one.

Find a new hobby, something you can do anywhere, at any time of day or night. Throw yourself at it, become a master, it will distract you and get you through the harder days to have the outlet.

When the weight on your heavy heart, or numb heart lifts, you will have become a better more aware and accomplished person.

There was a study which found that extreme heartache, the real killer excruciating pain, last no longer than 15 min at a stretch, and then there is a lull, like peaks and valleys of emotion.

Get thru that 15 minutes and you can breath through the rest of the day. At first it may come several times a day, but after a week or two it lessens as it will with subsequent weeks, then months, and so on.

You can and will return to self, where you no longer grasp at emotional states connected to another. Your center is where you were trying to get in the first place, only using others to try to define yourself. You are everything you ever needed, once you get this, you'll never know pain like this again.

Maybe you should start taking care of her.

Those of us that have been through a serious broken heart know that only time will wash it away enough to blunt the hurt.

I cared more than you could imagine.
i devoted my life to her. Yes, i was weak, i turned to booze. I failed. Once you give your heart to someone though, you cant just switch it off and forget.

Give it time, took me a good 7-8 months but then get around single people again even just to be around single people.

I had a buddy that could never get over his wife walking away.
I think it was just easer for him to turn to the bottle and fishing and never put the effort to get back in the swing of things...

The bottle killed him, I have seen it happen more than once. all blamed on a broken heart...

I have found saying afformations and asking myself why questions is like a miracle cure.

I have a client who was stabbed over 50 times and almost died. She told me her shrink had her saying affirmations every morning, but they left her cold. She said she didn't think they were accomplishing a darn thing.

I explained to her about afformations and asking herself why questions, and she did follow my advice.

I picked her up a week and a half later, and the difference in her?....WOW! The smile one her face was something else!

She thanked me profusely, and said how it's like her whole life changed hugely since asking, rather than stating what she wants out of life.

You were both alcoholics? That couldn't have been a very healthy relationship.

My cousin did that. She was an alcoholic since she had been a teenager. The only thing that stopped here was getting cancer which killed her before she was even 40.
