Chiropractor?
I had this kind of back pain many years ago. It took almost a year of PT to get full relief. Should I try a Chiropractor? I injured myself by over stretching. I'm in a lot of pain. Thanks.

Many chiropractors also do acupuncture these days. I would recommend that you find one in your area that does both. I saw several doctors who couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I finally gave up on them. I made an appointment with a chiropractor/acupuncturist and he diagnosed my problem within the first 5 minutes of my exam. He's been our family doctor for the last 10 years.

Yes.

Research carefully. My chiropractor is amazing. God fearing, intelligent and advanced. Good luck.

Try an inversion table. Fould a nice one for hubby and he rarely needs to do PT anymore. Check out Amazon.

We're going back about 25 years. 3 bulging Discs in my lower back. I'm usually fine if I keep my core strong and stay flexible. I haven't done that lately. It's my fault.

No, but my problem wasn't back pain. I had a hiatal hernia and other weird things going on. The worst was a sensation that felt like my brain was vibrating. I suffered from that for about 7 months before I found my doctor. It was gone after about 3 sessions.

My husband went to see him when he was having aches and pains over his entire body. He felt as good as new after just one session. It's hard to say whether you will feel relief right away. It depends on your problem and how good the doctor is. Even if you don't feel immediate relief, I would stick with it for awhile. Do your research and make sure you find a good doctor. That's how I found mine. I searched through several sites that give reviews and his were almost all positive.

Definitely go to the chiropractor. Hospitals do not treat back pain, they only give you painkillers, and surgery recommendations.

They can help, though most just take your money and let time heal you...

Inflammation is the enemy. It prevents nutrients and therefore healing to take place in the injured tissues.

Take aspirin daily for inflammation and get a Rx for something more powerful, then your body will heal faster.

I've had two sessions with a third this afternoon. Very little relief. Muscles in the lower back are so stiff, I'm all messed up. I have a combo stepper/elliptical machine that I use for a few minutes yesterday and today. I went at it very easy. It felt good and seemed to temporality reduce some of the tension in my lower back. I'm stretching a couple of times a day. It takes me ten minutes to make it from the bed to the bathroom in the morning. They have been applying heat and massage but very little manipulation. Thanks you all for your concern, this definitely SUCKS. No time off, I have to continue to work. I'm in good shape and I'm not over weight.

Mine took months to go away with the lumbago.

Sure, try a Chiropractor, since they know nothing about diseses and everything about business and marketing and do the same thing to everyone for every complaint, that should work out real good.
