Jesus told the evil doer "You will be with me in paradise". What did he mean, was the man going to heaven as if death is a promotion?

It is my understanding the word used is "Paradoxos".
The translation with that word takes on a whole new meaning.
Something like...
You (are) beside me in Paradox...
par·a·dox:
"a statement or proposition that, despite sound (or apparently sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems senseless, logically unacceptable, or self-contradictory."
"a situation, person, or thing that combines contradictory features or qualities." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How (((they))) managed to establish paradise as the word paradox, is anybody's guess. .
