I use to work nuclear outages for 13 years yes there will be fallout zones and no go zones but most of the nuclear plants in the US don't use plutonium in their fuel rods, so the highly radioactive material will be contained in the reactors and what is released will fall realitivly close to the plants and then be in the soil.

"Fly-over" countryside where your next neighbor is half a mile down the road is a really bad place to be stuck in when all those guys with face tattoos get loose.. they will go after "easy targets".. and a few dudes on a farm with lots of prep are perfect booty.. because your police will be gone and take care of their own familiy. You don't want to be too urban either... you want to live next door to Trump in Florda for example..

your timeline is on pace. i figured tribal communities and the chaos lasting 10 yrs.i am surprised you think it will take so long to start the tribal communities and schools.

i would like to see more of a breakdown on the 3mths initial start.you leave it as shock. to me 1 of the most important times is knowing now is now.if we know sooner than others we do have a huge advantage. to some this time could mean getting out of cities,others it might be to get their family home,some will use it to put more gear and supplies away. 1 use of this time would be cooking. cook a pot of stew or some other meal that you could eat off of for days.then when everyone is hungry,you are not cooking and sending fumes out to call herds of idiots. to me this extra time is vital.

many on here think the city folk will span out into the countryside. that is a myth.they are sheep and follow the herd mentality. they will travel via main highways and head to the next closest city. for the east coats this means the majority will head south on I-95.not all but a good %.even those who might head west,will still be along the highways. this does create a safe area where there is less chanxe of the rioters getting to you.and also you can create a bugger zone of other towns.saves ammo.

i do think we should analyze this initial chao period more.

So keep that in mind if you ever get really depressed about how bad things will get... After SHTF,resources remain the same but users of resources are fewer. The strong and wily will survive and there will be such a baby boom creating strong large families who will work together and prosper. There will be abundant food and the arts will begin to flourish. Trust and decency will again become the norm. The interim transition will be rough but worth surviving.

You will need to dig deep to find the emotional resilience to cope. You may lose your mind a little. You may develop a closer relationship with God. It's going to be pretty awful, and certainly not something to wish for. Get tough fast, or you won't make it.

Your right, but I've got more than a few dudes, my network will not be an easy target, but I understand what your saying there will be plenty of soft targets out there who think their tough, including some of those guys with tattoos on their face.

In stage 1 people will be sentimental and not want to leave their home, friends, or their stuff. People will not move unless their life is in danger, they will be waiting to be saved. stage 2 groups will be to nomadic to settle down, being pushed by warring factions. stage 3 happens 3 to 8 years after the event, when they can start planting roots in a area.

I wrote this for other readers of this thread, you have served in the military and have war experience and properbly a bigger team, but many "preppers" totally underestimate the dangers of living in the countryside.

There is a very large prison population in the USA.. and when shtf they will be let loose.. there is no way to get "rid of them".. they will let them out, or their relatives will come and let them out..... and then they will go stright to fly over land and take whatever they want.. and a couple cousins on a ranch won't be able to stop them, even if they got guns. how long can a ranch with just a few males last against those gang members who are used to operate in groups of 2 or more Squads.. just saying.. most civilians in Bosnia died from persistent sniper fire.. and the bigger the (male) family was, the better their survival chances were.

well said this is the mindset that I hope people pay attention to I point it out a little in stage 2 without getting to real that people will not argue they'll just kill. morals and ethics will be off of the table, a lot of preppers call this stage moose season, because the big and dumb will die in mass numbers.

Your right, hit the nail on the head. what you have to understand is that alot of military minded people live in those fly over areas and one of the things most of the white males from cities will be doing is bugging out to their cousins farm. That's what I hear when they talk about bugging out they say " I'm coming here if the SHTF". so flyover will turn to Runto states.

Cut back to 2 meals a day and start working out. Get used to difficult times now. Ive quit buying useless junk and am actually going through my stuff and throwing out what I don't use. So you're not shocked by what is coming.....

i agree with your reasoning but not the 3mths.i see the point of ppl staying home thinking the gov will save them.however,i think they will until the food runs out. i don't think the average town or city has more than 3 wks of food in a full chaos.i see apartment complexes raiding the stores and hoarding that food.

if there is no food and no communication to and from the local pd or other gov., then ppl will freak out.also many meds can ony be prescribed monthly.those will run out.no fuel,no electric,no trucking,no news. this will lead into anarchy quickly. i think even in the small country towns there will be trouble within the 1st month.

many depend on the gov in the rural towns.plus many of the ppl travel to work. if they are not home,it could be days to get home.the ppl who are home are stuck waiting for their parent or other half to find a way home.

Threads like this always assumes America as a finite vacuum. That is to say, there are plenty of countries that would jump at the chance to occupy America, UNLESS you’re talking a global event here. If not and it’s locality is just America, China, Russia, Canada, Mexico, to name a few, would rush in to capture all that they could as fast as they could. Question is, would they allow survivors to live? Would we be carted off to concentration camps “for processing.”

The biggest reason people would die in a SHTF scenario is Foreign Invaders, in my opinion.

In some places this will work out well.. in other places not so good because the farms are spread out too far from each other.. so their geography becomes a death trap, and gangs will just pass by, take what they need and then move on for those "better locations" which they will work hard on to take over as their own bases..

the last remaining security forces will be protecting the rich.. or places of importance.. any place of significance for the US government.. those places will be serviced the longest.. you can even starve on a ranch if you won't be able to grow food due to constant attacks from violent looters.... anyways, I hope I got the right people thinking about their options.. and depending on one own skill sets.. for some a suburbian area in Maryland, Virginia, Florida or California maybe a better choice in the long run.. okay I gotta go.. nice talking to you..

farms will take you in as slaves do you know how many ppl it would take to run an average sized farm in this country today without electric and power? how many cows can 1 person milk how many more to feed those cows? how many more to grow the feed? now double all that to take care of the household choes to support them all.it would take a small town to operate the 500 head dairy.

Depends on what kind of collapse you expect.. I am sure China and Russia would be willing to send you some blankets and food in case of natural desaster.. would they try to take territory? No not really.. you got no meaningful resources (again) depending on the type of shtf.. they might be busy themselves or have no need for the kind of resources you still got (Oil) which they, at least the Russians.. have all a hundred times over.. so why would they want to take your land? Russia is the biggest country on earth with huge amounts of resources... lol.. that's why the US is pissed off they weren't able to break up Russia.. why your government is trying to take Venezuela (Oil, Gold, Coltan). China? They got all they wanted from you already (hi tech) and are capable of producing their own CPU's already.. so don't bank on getting rescued by any foreigners.. they may be busy too, in a global financial collapse for sure..

And how is the farmer going to control his "slaves" if he gives them guns to defend the farm against mardauding gangs? Slavery only works in an organized world, not when CHAOS rules. When TSHTF, don't be surprised if certain individuals, those in power, decide to spray the populace with something or release viruses or illness to expedite the process.

The problem is, will it be something that will simply kill off people quicker, or will it be like something from Resident Evil, I am Legend or World War Z?

The reason I offer this scenario is that whereas one would be quicker to kill, it might also be more dangerous to those who are looking to survive the event, in D.U.M.B.s or similar, including the personnel they have working for them on the surface.

Either way, I always believed that the crisscross pattern they sprayed chemtrails in all of these years were constantly being recorded so as to track the behavior of the jet streams and where those chemtrails fell. Whether they, TPTB, have affected the jet streams the world over, or if this is truly a natural change, along with the shifting magnetic pole, monitoring and charting these changes with a grid makes A LOT of sense, as thermal would not suffice.
