The question is why did this happen with Trump not Ann and whether there is any chance he can turn it around.

Illegals, foreigners on visas, DACA, and other third worlders are getting first cut at the jobs. In states where there aren't very many of them to hire and companies are forced to take actual Americans, they are hiking state taxes to rip the economic improvements out of the hands of the workers.
President Trump needs to build the wall, but he also needs to mandate e-verify with criminal penalties, stiff ones,
and shut off the welfare to everyone who is not a citizen.
