Jussie Smollett's "Empire" screen time is getting slashed in the wake of a growing sentiment that he staged the so-called "attack."

Production sources tell TMZ ... Jussie was supposed to have 9 scenes and a big musical number in the second to the last episode -- which is being shot now -- but, 5 of his scenes have been cut, and his musical number has been 86'd.

Smuttie is about to get cut. His usefulness has reached its end.

LOL celeb justice has gotten so ridiculous. I feel like this would be a punishment handed down from a 2nd grade drama teacher at school. "Jussie did something very naughty, so we are going to take away his favorite parts in the play and give them to another boy". No one even watched the show that he is on anyway.

Empire could give him the lead role, just as long as the justice system gives him some heavy punishment.

Jussie had a good thing going and now he is ruining it by being a dumb ass. Only a dumb ass wants to be an actual victim of a hate crime. It would be like wanting to be dying of cancer. I don't know why SJWs think being victim is some how a great thing. In fact real victims will tell you it sucks to be a victim of a crime.

I personally think SJWs have falsely equated being moral and good with being a victim. Anyone can become a victim of something that doesn't necessarily mean they are a moral person. A victim is not permanent identity and being a victim of a hate crime doesn't make you better than anyone else. It is very perverse how SJWs are just dying to be victims and lord it over everyone.

We know the "who." It's the reason the story gathered national attention in the first place. We mostly know the "when," "where" and "how." They were the reasons for immediate doubts. But we may not have much interest in the "why," because there cannot possibly be a justifiable reason to fabricate a story about being assaulted with a noose by alleged racists. At this point, the only question of importance is "what?" As in what will the LGBTQ community do with Jussie Smollett if his account of being attacked by bigots in January is not true.

I continue to hold a sliver of hope that the dots that continue to feel so far apart will eventually connect and the picture before us will show he was telling the truth all along. I hold hope that those faint whispers that began almost as quickly as the story made its way across the networks will be silenced, that Smollett will be vindicated. And the people who took to social media to demand justice for him will not be left to look like fools.

At a time in which stories of discrimination are met with a disturbing amount of cynicism, the last thing anyone who is a champion of equality wants to see is an openly gay black man give birth to a "fake news" poster child. But, unfortunately, if what police are saying is true, that is what appears to have happened.
