Atheists: If life is millions of years old

Evolution doesn't occur over night, but as things become more evolved, the jump in advancement exponentially increases. What does that have anything to do with the fact there is no superior being in the sky with a beard opening a gate for you to get in.

The idea is that civilizations rise and then are wiped out in a cycle by catastrophe. So of course, we don't remember those previously destroyed. There are echoes of this in many world religions. Noah's flood is one example.

Noah's flood.. another beautiful story. Another bearded guy who managed to build a boat out of wood and fit 2 of every single animal on it, and manage to have enough food to feed them for 40 days and nights.... smh

Guess he had invented turbine engines also so that he could get from continent to continent in time to save the animals before the flood

For millions of years we weren't human.
Anatomically Modern Humans have only be around for some 200,000 years.
Technological and social development is pretty much exponential.
The more people there are and the bigger the knowledge base the more a single generation can achieve.
Being able to talk to each other is pretty useful too.

I think there is a relation let me explain, you're talking about a huge advancement that exponentially increased. This started in Mesopotamia (cradle of civilization), which would be where Abraham was born and the story of Noah takes place. So it's involved with the starting point of our civilization. You're blatantly dismissing that.

You may have missed his point. The flood story isn't a one off thing and intended focus isn't about a dude and a boat with animals. It exists in many cultures and varies somewhat but 'echos' a common theme. Humans were almost wiped out by a great flood.

I know a lot of people who have partial awareness. But my dog had awareness. Consciousness is what the large human brain does in addition to awareness. No God need be involved.

Let's say a civilization prior had a time to prosper in a timeline of 10000-200.000 years. Wouldnt a dominating species have populated the Earth as it is today (billions). Is it plausible to say a catastrophe would completely eradicate any possible evidence?

Like it or not, archeology and history suggest only one thing - Civilization is not older than 6000 to 9000 years old.

So you're saying that for the last 200.000 years sapiens lived, and logically in 200.000 years time they would have populated the entire planet. They hardly left no trace? That means you would agree with a recent catastrophe like that of Noah? And if not the flood of Noah in the book of Genesis, what other catastrophes could there have been or do you think have happened?

The first 175000 years humans travelled from place to place they never setteled. When the food was gone they moved.

First farming started around 20000-25000 years ago then it is wehn the first cities were build and started to develop.

Because it wasn't a walk in the park.

If humans started building cities 20000 years ago, why did we surpass them x1000 in 6000 years? Obviously if humans were smart enough to build cities, in 25000 years. They would have accomplished something. If otherwise what changed so drastically?

God is real and knew everyone before the creation of the world. So doesn’t that mean life has been around forever?

Building with giant rocks is not the same as modern tech. The populations of those early people were very small. The true geniuses who are capable of advancing entire societies are rare and far in between. We are still using Teslas AC power grid 150 years after he invented it. Still using NAZI rocket engines. etc, etc
