Well of course it is intended as a campaign rally. Just as the title of the thread, it's a HUGE rally. He is holding his rally at the Lincoln Memorial. The traditional Independence Day celebration is being held on the Mall, where it has always been held. The Independence Day celebration is for all Americans and always has been. The HUGE rally at the Lincoln Memorial is for some Americans and no president has even held a partisan campaign rally on Independence Day. |
