Gravity is most likely an electrostátic effect...

Electrons pulling electrons... Question is how to turn the polarity of an Electron without changing it and the answer might be spin
 Quoting: King Retard 49553393

Where do you get the idea that electrons can "pull" on each other? And even if so, can they really do it in such a coordinated and exactly precise manner?

Would be nice but it is unknowable. The greatest minds in human history could not solve gravity and the "geniuses" of today are not nearly as smart.

Between the north and south poles, a very strong magnet is created. That's why we have gravity.

is that before or after they move dark matter and dark energy up to being 99.9997% of our universe? you know, because their theories and models demand it. What are we up to now, 85%?

their models are so out of whack, that they need to create 85% of our universe out of fiction. pure unadulterated fiction. Something they can't prove, isolate or even predict...but it is 85% of all matter that surrounds us and our universe.

Re: Nothing else matters in physics anymore except figuring out what gravity really is.
Gravity and cold makes things 'implode', apply enough heat and 'mass' begins to expand which fucks up the gravity equation big time.

Example #1: Snowball earth, all the earths water came in as 'snow from heaven' which is -250C. It fell so fats the heat could not melt it and the delicate balance was altered.
The thin fragile crust that formed as the magma was cooled and then lots and lots of ice that ended up altering the transfer pattern that less heat escaped to the cold of empty space. Ice has an R-Value so it acted like a blanket and the earth's molten parts got hotter and hotter and hotter until it broke the ice and exploded like a pressure cooker would rather than slowly.
The Siberian Traps is part of that process. The Oceanic Crust in place today is 200M years old and the rifts that created it were established when when the core broke the band of ice that covered the globe.

Example #2: Apply that principle to the universe and the big bang was the 'breaking point'. We are expanding and that might be a sign that more stars are being born than die at the moment. At some point the expansion will make the universe so large that mass from exploded stars cannot clump together in a mass that is big enough to for new star. When the last star explodes the universe will become a black hole.

When the earth stops expanding and begins to cool the crust will break and volcanoes will become a sinkhole the size of the GOM or the Great Lakes.
The recent photos of Pluto show it is shrinking, big time.

No, check the spelling of these two words:

Gravity
Magnetism

The spelling is different because they are two different things.

Gravity
Potato

^^These two words are a closer match - but still, no.

Gravity knows where everything is.

Matter goes to where everything else isn't.

Until it accidentally matches an orbit.

From there you have to force it down.

Gravity does not exist, objects rise or fall due only to relative density, that is all.

Imagine a hollow sphere intersecting with a 2 dimensional plane of existence.. Inhabitants of that plane would see a circle forming on their world where the sphere intersects, they would understand that a this circle was created by a sphere.

Gravity is like that circle. It's the effect of a construct that exists in a higher dimension that's intersection with our dimension of space and time.

gravity is the distance between an electron and the nucleus of an atom

increase the distance, decrease the gravity

decrease the distance, increase the gravity.

it is regulated by the spin of the electron

Re: Nothing else matters in physics anymore except figuring out what gravity really is.
My theory.

Everything always exists. All matter and all energy. So where is it? We use terms like dark matter and dark energy to explain what we can not find, but know has to exist. It is all there right in front of us. We simply can not see it yet,and the reason is time. The little tiny distortion in space time we view as the universe is just that. Tiny. So stop asking where it is and ask when.

We are mostly seeing the distortions caused by gravity...gravity that has slowed space time to a point we can perceive existence in our physical form. Time itself in simplest form is the expansion of the universe stretching energy.A black hole causes a contraction area, where time as the universe sees it flows in reverse...it appears to have incredible gravity to us...but it is just another form of time in this case a contraction in the fabric of the universe. What caused that contraction? My theory is a lack of enough energy to maintain expansion.

The black hole simply formed to tighten the area, when it has regained enough time and energy it simply collapses into expansion again.

So why does matter distort the flow of energy in the universe? For the same reason, a speed bump will disturb a speeding car. It is there.

I hope they never figure it out, I can't think of anything more dangerous.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75846982

Everything has risks but the benefits of anti gravity far outweigh its risks.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77676729

I don't claim to know what gravity is but depending on how it exactly works it could be massively dangerous

The most obvious danger would be altering the orbit of the earth or moon or the sun in a negative way

Another danger would be if you could reflect gravity or something crazy and rip chunks out of planets or creat massive tides or lower gravity permanently not understanding the long term effects.

Can you imagine how destructive creating a permanent high tide on one side of earth might be by parking the moon stationary assuming you had the capability?

Another issue is that once you get outside of earths gravity your device better be strong enough to overcome bigger gravitational pulls from the sun Jupitor etc assuming you don't have other propulsion
