Re: H.R.420 - Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act ~ when's the house vote?!?
They want to make sure they can cash in on this before turning it loose...

World health organization has downgraded canabis and admits they were wrong about the drug....this happened in Jan

Then this was supposed to lead to some UN vote in March that would downgrade canabis internationally and take it off some binding 1961 convention treaty that regulates and controls drugs.....its a big deal because this would open up international trade for canabis and make it more of a commodity for the countries that have decriminalized and legalized.....

For some reason the USA and Japan asked for more time on voting for this so it won't be on the agenda for March....I'm thinking Trump isn't going to do anything prior to election in regards to this issue and will let states decide
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77345586

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72655361

though money is a huge factor, its actually control. people worldwide have been mind fucked like no other for a really long time. mass hypnosis. marijuana frees shackles in the mind on this slave ship!

doubtful thats part of the UN agenda...

unless that swamp draining is next?!?
 Quoting: bobobibi

This vote is huge because it will then mean every country will decriminalize and legalize...it will open up the international trade for cannabis....cannabis will become a commodity that you will be able to buy sell trade futures on etc will be HUGE....

Until then it may be legal in a few places but transporting it overseas or by air for trade and selling abroad is still very cumbersome difficult and filled with paperwork security checks etc etc

But for now it's just a few oasis of legality in the world the majority still deem it illegal

I remember there was an article on Fox News a while back, stating that Trump had said he was going to remove marijuana from the federal registry AFTER the Mid-Term elections finished up. That never happened. Now, I see articles saying that some of the Democrat presidential hopefuls are following a pro-marijuana stance. I have been thinking, perhaps Trump will remove marijuana once Democrat candidates for the the 2020 presidential election nears and the voting date is closer. It might be used as a tool to negate some of their voters because of all the press that might be captured with Trump removing weed from the federal registry. He would probably do this in the months before the vote, only because Americans tend to have short-term memory, Trump would want this remembered on the minds of voters. Just my thinking....

i remember reading something about that too. Trump will definitly be a part of the removal. i'd like to know how many of the above 60 crowd going into dispensaries lean conservative. my mom thought weed was like crack up until recently.

bottom line is it's retarded to have all these states legalizing to whatever level for years now and is still viewed by our gov't on the same level as herion.

shouldn't even need to be voted on. just removed.

It should be legal to "grow your own". It's just a weed. Maybe it is under that bill- idk since I never use it, but definitely would if I had an illness I thought it would help.

that thing's son is Chairman of the board for Freedom Leaf for fux sake!?! a marijuana company..

LAS VEGAS, NV–(Marketwired – Nov 2, 2017) – Freedom Leaf, Inc. (OTCQB: FRLF) is very pleased to announce that Paul Pelosi Jr. has accepted our invitation to become Chairman of Freedom Leaf’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Pelosi will guide FRLF in corporate governance, sustainable revenue generation, and investor relations. Freedom Leaf, Inc. will launch an Initiative to become the model for corporate governance in the cannabis and hemp sector.
Mr. Paul Pelosi Jr. is the son of U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and..' <50

you would think marijuana legalization would be a great distraction but why haven't they used that card?!?
 Quoting: bobobibi

Freedom Leaf was taken over by Merida Capital Partners. David Goldberg from Goldman Sachs is now the board of directors chairman.

They brought in Jane Cavalier to lead the promotion and branding of the new acquisition of established Hemp2o CBD Beverage. She was one of the key people in building the Snapple brand.

They have been relatively quiet the last couple of months. I suspect there will be some investor relation news that will spike the stock a few times very soon.

I bought a crap load last Summer of micro-cap stock in companies like Freedom Leaf to see if any of them hit. Freedom leaf and Canbiola are two that could run in the next couple of years. Time will tell.

thanks for the info! i have a bunch of frlf aswell. would be cool to see another pop like back in the fall.. and stay there!!!popcorn
 Quoting: bobobibi

That spike last Oct was from Merida Capital infusing cash into the company via stock purchase.

The stock has a $2 price target atm, be patient, things will happen very soon.
 Quoting: iSwear

awesome!! i have dozens of different little guys that im wanting to pop aswell!! been bidin my time trying to flip 1-10$ shares quick keeping a few as wins. i read about stocks' price targets in articles but don't see them on fidelity or marketwatch.. you know a good site to see them or am i overlooking something on my sites??

When we legalized weed here in Seattle. Then came the biggest homelessness and drug problem ever. If people are stoned or drugged out half the day, it is actually not a good thing. Crime is up because of all of this too.

People are stealing sh!t like crazy to sell to get more drug money.

Stupid is a stupid does.

I call B.S. on that claim absent statistical proof from law enforcement agencies. I got off a plane in Los Angeles and went to a pot store and got an ounce of kick-azz weed for $30 bucks.

Decriminalization is certainly an option...but it does not provide adequate protection for the consumer.

For example...if you buy a bag of weed from your dealer and it is laced with something that effects your health (negatively)...you have NO recourse.

Buy purchasing your weed from a Licensed and Legally Compliant provider, you are guaranteed a certain quality (product labels similar to "Nutrition Facts") and in the event something is wrong with the batch/lot you purchased from (Seed to Sale software) and can be removed from all shelves...not unlike any re-call of a food or medicinal product.

Let's say you find mold in your legally purchased weed...You will get it replaced or reimbursed...try that with your current dealer...LOL.

I could go on and on about this.

Great minds think alike. Im 60, ive been out in the sun from surfing and doing construction my entire existence. Due to the sun exposure unfortunately a had some black crusty mole looking things that strongly resembled melanoma. I had a friend who has a license and grows. I don't think you should be required to get a license to bring something indoors that grows naturally outdoors, the whole thing is absurd in my opinion.

BUt he makes this paste, like butter, dark green in color. Gave me a small jar of it. So three days ago I began rubbing it on those black spots that were raised and crusty. They were getting worse and felt more like a sore when rubbed or touched. I could not fucking believe it, and neither could my wife. In three days they were all gone! And I mean gone as in cant be seen! Within an hour of rubbing it on the spots went from black to a light brown. By the next day they had shrunk to half and had a better color. They are gone and I am happy. In this nation and around the globe we should all be allowed to pursue happiness unfettered.1dunno1

You know, it's interesting that you made that point regarding the elder generation! I'm 66 and have smoked Weed for about 45 of those years. LOTS of weed. I came from a family of staunch non-smokers/drinkers [due to alcoholic Grandparents]. So I was always the "bad boy"! BTW: my family were/are staunch Republicans! Again, I was the outsider and a lifelong Democrat until Trump came along and I did a long-overdue 180dg polical turn!

As the decades passed though, it also became apparent that I was the most healthy! Sure: when I was much younger, I dropped Dexy's [I was working three jobs at the time] and one summer really explored Acid but beyond that I never had an urge to try anything else. But, Weed? Oh, YEAH!

Anyway, my siblings -who are all older than I- went the traditional pharmacuetical route and today are riddled with all kinds of serious ailments. They've endured multiple surgeries [I've never been gutted or filletted, myself] and are in pretty bad shape overall. And, I've always been very vocal that they were nothing but Guinea Pigs for their Doctors! I myself haven't been to a Dr. in 16 years - and then it was only because I felt I should celebrate my 50th birthday!

SO: last Christmas I was shocked to hear my 75-yr old sister say she was tired of her drug regimen and state she may try CBD or even a little Weed! Likewise my other Sister who is only 70! BLEW ME AWAY! Sad to say, my 77-yr old Brother's ass-stick is too fimly wedged to remove with even a high Colonic, so he's a lost cause!

Not packing any Weed that day, I did leave the girls with some Kratom [which I am currently selling as a pain-moderator] and was shocked when both immediately tried it. Happy to report it worked for them both.

Maybe it's time for us Grey Panthers to go on the prowl and help with this legislation, since the last time I did anything was to march in a NORML protest at the San Francisco City Hall back in the mid-80's!

Fuck regulation.Ever since weed became "legal" in california the quality has gone down and prices stay the same. Small growers going out of business that have been doing it for 20+ years. In come big pharma and tobacco with gmo gov sanctioned weed.I will smoke moonshine buds as long as I still consume herb.

People need to invest in cannibas companies ASAP. Pick the ones with the best backing and then when they federally legalize it, watch your money explode right before your eyes. It's so easy that a caveman could do it.

And lets all be realistic, tell me what government has gotten involved in and made something better when it comes to your health. For years they knowingly put carcinogens it tobacco that has killed millions and the FDA gave it a thumbs up!thumbs

The government couldn't give me the weed for free! I wouldn't touch it, not that I don't trust my government, they have a proven track record on multiple levels and different arenas. Do you need the governments permission to drop a seed into the ground and water it and consume the fruit of your labor? eekalert Government needs to be put back in the box that was created for it to be in. Government doesn't need to be in my back yard or in my kitchen thank you very much.hf

Thanks for that local perspective. Once restrictions lift in my unenlightened part of the nation, I'm going back to growing my own. When I retired I invested in two nice grow tents [soil-based, with both LED and HPS lighting systems] and grew some really kick-ass designer bud for a full year [three back-to-back harvests] before paranoia kicked in and I packed everything away for [hopefully] future use! I can't grow Crabgrass, but I sure can grow Weed!

Now... where did a put my pipe...?

Re: H.R.420 - Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act ~ when's the house vote?!?
Fuck regulation.Ever since weed became "legal" in california the quality has gone down and prices stay the same. Small growers going out of business that have been doing it for 20+ years. In come big pharma and tobacco with gmo gov sanctioned weed.I will smoke moonshine buds as long as I still consume herb.

Thanks for that local perspective. Once restrictions lift, I'm going back to growing my own. When I retired I invested in two nice grow tents [soil-based, with LED and HPS lighting systems] and grew some really kick-ass designer bud for a full year before my paranoia kicked in and I packed everything away for [hopefully] future use! I can't grow Crabgrass, but I sure can grow Weed!

Re: H.R.420 - Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act ~ when's the house vote?!?

As the deceades passed though, it also became apparent that I was the most healthy!
