Message Subject H.R.420 - Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act ~ when's the house vote?!?

I remember there was an article on Fox News a while back, stating that Trump had said he was going to remove marijuana from the federal registry AFTER the Mid-Term elections finished up. That never happened. Now, I see articles saying that some of the Democrat presidential hopefuls are following a pro-marijuana stance. I have been thinking, perhaps Trump will remove marijuana once Democrat candidates for the the 2020 presidential election nears and the voting date is closer. It might be used as a tool to negate some of their voters because of all the press that might be captured with Trump removing weed from the federal registry. He would probably do this in the months before the vote, only because Americans tend to have short-term memory, Trump would want this remembered on the minds of voters. Just my thinking....

i remember reading something about that too. Trump will definitly be a part of the removal. i'd like to know how many of the above 60 crowd going into dispensaries lean conservative. my mom thought weed was like crack up until recently.

bottom line is it's retarded to have all these states legalizing to whatever level for years now and is still viewed by our gov't on the same level as herion.

shouldn't even need to be voted on. just removed.

You know, it's interesting that you made that point regarding the elder generation! I'm 66 and have smoked Weed for about 45 of those years. LOTS of weed. I came from a family of staunch non-smokers/drinkers [due to alcoholic Grandparents]. So I was always the "bad boy"! BTW: my family were/are staunch Republicans! Again, I was the outsider and a lifelong Democrat until Trump came along and I did a long-overdue 180dg polical turn!

As the deceades passed though, it also became apparent that I was the most healthy! Sure: when I was much younger, I dropped Dexy's [I was working three jobs at the time] and one summer really explored Acid but beyond that I never had an urge to try anything else. But, Weed? Oh, YEAH!

Anyway, my siblings -who are all older than I- went the traditional pharmacuetical route and today are riddled with all kinds of serious ailments. They've endured multiple surgeries [I've never been gutted or filletted, myself] and are in pretty bad shape overall. And, I've always been very vocal that they were nothing but Guinea Pigs for their Doctors!

SO: last Christmas I was shocked to hear my 75-yr old sister say she was tired of her drug regimen and state she may try CBD or even a little Weed! Likewise my other Sister who is only 70! BLEW ME AWAY! Sad to say, my 77-yr old Brother's ass-stick is too fimly wedged to remove with even a high Colonic, so he's a lost cause!

Not packing any Weed that day, I did leave the girls with some Kratom [which I am currently selling as a pain-moderator] and was shocked when both immediately tried it. Happy to report it worked for them both.

Maybe it's time for us Grey Panthers to go on the prowl and help with this legislation, since the last time I did anything was to march in a NORML protest at the San Francisco City Hall back in the mid-80's!
