Why do you think the pope carries a staff with Jesus crucified to a cross, mass is a ritual of celebrating Jesus’s death! I know the church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints( study that title) dwell on his life of teachings and eternal life, not his grisly death. |

Don't write Mormon's off as many have canned food and preps and you may be begging a meal off them when they are willing to break bread with you and won't necessarily even force convert you. Again, I'm not promoting their doctrine as I was raised KJV fundamental Baptist. Community. God does work through community. Acts 2 the early church. This was not top down government imposed communism. It was a grass roots sharing for the common good. They refused to accept a message from God's prophet John the Baptist. They could not accept the doctrine of resurrection. Nothing new under the sun. The Pharisees and the Sadducess had much to lose. When Joseph Smith said I have been given a Book to translate from the Indian lineage of a once great people here on the American continent. People freaked out saying God does not talk to people. The Indians are disposable and this land is for our consumption, further more we have a Bible we have no more need for anything beyond the western world. Yet the book of Mormon testifies that a resurrected Christ has manifested himself here on the American continent and the people recorded that event. This land was once peopled and had a great nation they were to be a free people if they would but follow Christ and their scriptures testify of Christ. America is unique and it always has been, but the most disturbing thing Joseph Smith revealed to the people is that those disposable Indians had a great lineage all the way back to Joseph of Egypt! These people are of the house of Israel. Joseph Smith had plural wives like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob among others. I don't like it but Heavenly Father's way are not yet my ways. [link to www.churchofjesuschrist.org (secure)] The Articles of Faith of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapter 1 1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. 2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression. 3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. 4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. 5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. 6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth. 7 We believe in the agift of btongues, cprophecy, drevelation, evisions, fhealing, ginterpretation of tongues, and so forth. 8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated ccorrectly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. 9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. 10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. 11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. 12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. 13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. |

Inner rooms and wilderness User ID: 77717637 Thailand 06/11/2019 04:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You missed one OP. Jesus said not to believe anyone who claimed to see Jesus in the wilderness or the desert. Also warns against believing those who claim to see Him in secret chambers/ inner rooms. Yet Jesus appeared to Joseph Smith in the wilderness of New York and later appeared to Prophet Snow in the Mormon Temple. The temples are not accessible to the public, which would qualify them as secret non-accessible private areas or inner rooms. |
