President Trump and his daughter Ivanka each donated thousands of dollars to Kamala Harris' attorney general re-election campaign, it has been revealed.

Sen. Kamala Harris, who represents California, ran for re-election as the state's Attorney General four years ago.

The Trump family handed a total of $8,000 to her campaign coffers between 2011 and 2014.

During her first term as attorney general Trump gave Harris $5,000, then he donated a further $1,000 in 2013, before his daughter, Ivanka, wrote a check for $2,000 in 2014.


Before becoming a senator and announcing her bid to run for president for 2020, Harris was elected as California's attorney general in 2010.
