Many women solve their health problems by simply not painting their nails and then using solvents to remove the paint.

Hold on, sis. Every other time somebody makes that claim women jump in and say they get dolled up to impress other women.
Fact is, they value their appearance at the moment over long term health. Vanity writ large.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5461667

I dont give a shit if I'm looking horrid around some women. I would care if I was looking gross with guys around, though.

Well you just have to be a smart shopper, do your research, and avoid horribly toxic ingredients.
 Quoting: Love_Goddess

I appreciate the beauty of a well done-up lady. I also enjoy the healthy glow of a suntanned healthy country girl just out riding her horse.
Ladies, be careful with that junk and use it sparingly.
Healthy=beautiful.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5461667

I agree with you wholeheartedly about taking care of health first. Safety over beauty!

Glad you enjoy all that. A tan, however, can be unhealthy though since it requires a sun bed or sunbathing. Self tanning is best.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77386488

You know, I think the "sun is bad for you" meme will eventually go down the toilet. Yes, it is bad to get a sunburn. Yes it is bad to lay in the sun and get crispy. But going out in the sun a little each day so that you naturally get a little tan by the end of the summer (without trying--just as a part of living) just seems so natural.
I remember when I first saw a sign that said tans were dangerous. I had seen the impact of sunburns. I had seen the impact of the girls who lay in the sun and got totally brown. But I could not and still do not believe that the natural sun is bad. I also do not use sunscreens unless there is a real danger of a sunburn. I just enjoy the natural summer and I think that is the healthiest.

Caucasians. As well as the endocrine and pheromone disruptors (made to mask the scent of dogs in their pheromones and disrupt indigenous pheromone senses so we won't be turned off by their foul scent and will be more susceptible to being poached by this race of creepy rapy assholes).

Re: Whos to blame for women using cancer causing cosmetics and hair dye?
First, there is such a thing as organic, non-toxic cosmetic. They are more expensive, but they exist and are readily available.

Second, there are also non-toxic organic hair coloring agents, specifically those made from herbs, not chemicals. Henna, indigo, teas and more can outright color or just give a slight highlight. You just need to be careful of the source (watch for polluting chemicals just like you would in food).

Third, many men, and society as a whole, are obsessed with youth. The pressure on a woman to remain young looking as she ages is immense. At least half of the men on this forum have made rude and disparaging comments about women over 40 (seriously? 40 is young!), blathered on and on about how only women of childbearing age and the looks that go with it are visually attractive to men and so on. This permeates our society.

And you wonder who is to blame for women using cosmetics and hair dye? When you men cast women aside who no longer look young? Make awful and hurtful comments? Then the same men come here and criticize women who try to look younger?

I've got news for you old guys. You're not so great to look at either. The younger guys still look more attractive to us too. The difference is we women don't make fools of ourselves falling all over young men and don't make asses of ourselves over young men. We look at the qualities of a man's character, not his age, and contrary to what you men think, we don't give a hot damn about if you're driving a "penis car" (we all know you are compensating). And if you think a fat wallet will get you a good woman, think again. All it will get you is someone looking for a fat wallet and once she gets her hands on that, you will be useless.

Useless. Just like you make women who look their (older) biological age feel. And you wonder why women use cosmetics and hair dye. FFS.

The information is now vastly available, it's on the women now.

I developed a great line of all natural (for real natural) pain, skin, dental and hair care. As more and more women wake up, they find they love my products!

Men love my manly products too.
 Quoting: janedoenut

"Hair care" is not hair dye. Dyes are very toxic.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77413037

Most of them are but you can get safe natural ones at Vitacost.com and IHerb.com; I've seen them there. They're more expensive than the mainstream toxic ones and you shan't find them at Walmart, but you can definitely find good brands if you're taking the time to look for them. Same goes for all varieties of 'makeup.'

What about GREY AWAY?

That is a spray for only grey hair roots mainly. I might try it.
It was supposed to be sold in stores only it never made it
to the store shelves! I suspect the big hair coloring firms may have bought it out? It's sold on line.

Okay……I agree that some of this definitely happens, but why give any credence to what other people think about you or your age?

I refuse to pump toxic chemicals into my face, slather my face and body in toxins, dunk my head in poison, just for appearance sake. Please be careful of the “organic” products being promoted. It doesn’t mean the products aren’t toxic. Organic arsenic is still toxic, right?

There is nothing wrong with being a completely “natural” woman or with looking your actual age. Keep your skin moisturized with healthy things like coconut oil, get a light golden glow from the sun and from exercise. You’ll be amazed at how good your skin will look after you detox from decades of toxic chemicals. Let your hair grow long and natural and healthy. You’ll be amazed at how good you look!

Good post Bouncy Blonde.

Me, my sisters and my mother are all natural.

We never use makeup or any type of cosmetics, and never have.

We've never dyed our hair, got any plastic surgery, tattoos, or used any sunscreen and certainly never used any tanning products.

We love and are proud of the way we are naturally, and our husbands love us the way we are, and we always get told how beautiful we are.

My mother will be 50 this year and always gets told she looks only half her age.

Yes all those things contain harmful chemicals and can cause cancer and other health issues.

Makeup ruins your skin and ages you.

Hair dye causes a lot of damage to your hair.

Tattoos can cause hepatitis, cancer and ink poisoning, and are extremely hard and costly to remove.

Me and my sisters all have extremely long, very healthy, shiny natural whitish blonde hair.

Our skin is so fair it doesn't tan at all, and we are perfectly happy with our super fair skin.

In fact we love our fair skin, and our husbands love it.

We most certainly would never use any tanning beds or tanning sprays.

Those are far more harmful than the sun, and provide none of the benefits the sun does.

We make sure to avoid overexposure to the sun.

We get lots of exercise, and stay active, and eat healthy.

We don't and never have drank alcohol, smoke, or done drugs.

We have never had any vaccines at all.

Staying natural is the way to be.

It's the way God wants us to be too.

God made us the way we are for a reason.

Of course if people want to use these things it's their choice.

What I don't like is when they try to pressure others into using them.

If they want to use these things that's fine, but just don't pressure others into using them.

Re: Whos to blame for women using cancer causing cosmetics and hair dye?
The fallen angels originally… they taught humans this and other things such as warfare.. astrology… sacrifice.. etc… and humans ran with it and evolved it and still are.. cause the fallen knew it would bring humans further away from GOD

Re: Whos to blame for women using cancer causing cosmetics and hair dye?
The information is now vastly available, it's on the women now.

I developed a great line of all natural (for real natural) pain, skin, dental and hair care. As more and more women wake up, they find they love my products!

Men love my manly products too.

"Hair care" is not hair dye. Dyes are very toxic.

there are plant based dyes for hair which are non-toxic. not sold in grocery stores though, except for henna.
