remote controlled.
Quoting: MissCleo You remember. I'm sure the Max has the same capability as the earlier 737, but I haven't read enough to know if this is a Max. Quoting: Pilgrim001 The Max apparently has buggy flight control software designed to override pilot input. It's a bug described as a feature. Pilots must always have the final say, since they have final responsibility. The 737 is a great aircraft and a safe one. The Max is having early failures from a new design. IMHO, the flight control system needs to be thoroughly examined and possibly redesigned, or at least patched to stop interfering with the pilot input. I don't know if the older flight software is compatible with this one. Boeing has generally avoided pure fly-by-wire, unlike Airbus. I think that's served them well over the years.
