There is no natural gas in this area...I have a large propane tank....

Once I have all propane appliances then I will convert the big generator to propane as well....better than fuel....

Yes scary what people do when the power is out...People have dragged/put bar bq's into their homes for heat and nuked themselves with carbon monoxide...

Or burned down their homes with improper use of candles....and or oil lamps....I have a few of those as well....Have a couple battery operated lanterns and keep rechargeable batteries in the charger all the time so can just swap them out....The little generator is great for that as I run it about 10 hours a day....

Plus the solar lights that I installed INSIDE the house with the collectors outside the house mounted in sunny locations....

I think Nola caught that one and might have one or two herself now....They ae real good ones that have long extensions on them that unplug so you can wire them inside and collect energy outside....they have motion sensors on them as well....so when you walk into the room at night they come on automatically....they are awesome....

I cant believe how many were at the store because they could not even make a coffee....

Improper cookware to use their woodstoves...to cook with and no back up power at all....

I have this big old antique kettle that is always on my wood stove top so have continuous hot water for tea and coffee and soup or what ever....as my woodstove is always on in the winter....

Plus water vapor helps conduct more heat in the home as the heat molecules attach to the water molecules in the home...House isn't so dry then either....Most people don't know that little tid bit....
