Also reminds of the story called the raven and the Light of the World.
It is from the northwest coast of the Haida people. The explanations of the emergence of the material world is in many stories especially mud retrieving creatures.

The trickster raven brought light to the people. They say it was a pitch black world. An old man living in his house by a river owned a box that contained seemingly infinite boxes inside yet inside the very last one was all the light of the universe. The old man jealously guarded the box and refused to open it for a rather parentally deficient reason of not wanting to see his daughters face. He was afraid to reveal possible ugliness.

The cunning raven hatched a plan and magically shrink himself into the form of a tiny hemlock needle placing himself in a water vessel from which the daughter unwittingly drank, There by taking the raven into her body.

From this strange union, the raven was reborn from the daughter as a raven-human child, and this hybrid creature became a grandson to the old man. One time, The raven persuaded the old man through tears and incessant pleading to open all of the boxes. Finally the last box was opened, revealing the light of the world.

Quick as a flash, the raven darted forward and grabbed it, flying out of the house and spreading the light as he went and also revealing the old man’s daughter as a girl of great beauty. The eagle, jealous of the light, Flew at the Raven and tried to seize it. This attack caused some of the light to be scattered, and these fragments of light became the moon and the stars.
