Rare pink rainbows were spotted Monday evening in the south and west of England.

Rainbows are, as you may remember from grade school, a spectrum of light created by refraction and reflection. They appear in the sky after rain and are rare enough that people pause when they see them.

There are some things one just knows. So what is expectation for? The unknown.

I am almost unequivocally of the opinion that the only things I can know are those things that are of myself and my own experiences, and that even my own experiences can be known by others to be something different.

Between the line of having expectations and not having them, what I have experienced is that not having expectations pertaining to thoughts can result in unwarranted meaning being attributed to thoughts without expectations manifesting as reality.

It is the thoughts with expectations, be they high, low, or neutral that tend to have a meaningful influence that settles underneath the tide of delusion.


Musing upon the expectations of the self is an interesting subject. There are things we are capable of doing, perceiving, and experiencing that are unknown to us until the moment they arrive. When it comes to the unknown self, I would think there could be no expectation. To expect something of the self is to know of an existential potential.


In terms of nativity delineation, it is a matter of what is below and what is above the horizon.

Is it possible to make the most of a spontaneously generated opportunity without having first expected its occurrence?
