Kentucky governor reveals he deliberately exposed his nine children to chickenpox as he says: 'Why are we forcing kids to get vaccinated?'
DAILY MAIL LESS 50

Governor Matt Bevin and his wife, Glenna, have nine children, four adopted
•During a radio interview, Bevin said his children were 'miserable for a few days' after contracting chickenpox but said 'they all turned out fine'
•Public health authorities strongly discourage the practice of deliberately exposing children to chickenpox
•Bevin is seeking a second term as governor in this year's statewide elections in Kentucky

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin said in a radio interview that he deliberately exposed his children to chickenpox so they would catch the highly contagious disease and become immune.

During a Tuesday interview on Bowling Green radio station WKCT, Bevin said his children were 'miserable for a few days' after contracting chickenpox but said 'they all turned out fine.'

'Every single one of my kids had the chickenpox,' Bevin said in the interview. 'They got the chickenpox on purpose because we found a neighbor that had it and I went and made sure every one of my kids was exposed to it, and they got it. They had it as children.'

Bevin and his wife, Glenna, have nine children, four adopted.

Re: Kentucky governor reveals he deliberately exposed his nine children to chickenpox as he says: 'Why are we forcing kids to get vaccinated?'
I'm from Kentucky and very ashamed of our governor. My son had the chicken pox. Let me tell you, he had a very rough case. He missed almost two weeks of elementary school, had a very high fever, didn't want food but consumed lots of fluids. He laid and slept. He had huge blisters all over his body; even in on his head. He is 50 years old and he still has scars on his body. See back then they never had the vaccine to lessen the case. Our daughter had the vaccine, but had the chicken pox. She had a light case. She never missed a day of school and graduated with perfect attendance. I don't think he realizes that the chicken pox virus can lead to shingles later in life. My mother-in-law had the shingles on her face that lead to her death because the nerve pain was so bad. Matt Bevin is a pure idiot and needs to be replaced. Kentuckians are so fed up with him. There are fifty of our family members and we aren't voting for him the second time around. He is pure foolish!

You do realise that your daughter was contagious at school if she never missed a day while sick with a light case... In your own words... BTW she had chicken pot, right? Then the vaccine didn't work in the first place... She obviously had no immunity to it... She so. Ply was able to cope better than your son...

so when do they admit that the increase in cases of shingles IS due to the vaccination ?
ooh sure there are no real outbreaks of chicken pox since the vaccination craze, but cases of shingles have increased.
hello ?
do people understand how a vaccination works ?

We all had chicken pox as a kid in the 50s. We all enjoyed the time home from school and the extra attention we received. One of the things we were told is to not scratch the blisters because they would leave marks. Apparently, your kid didn't listen or you never told him. Many people walking around today have small pock marks on their face due to the pox. A small price to pay for immunity.
The day the soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.
