(WFLA) - A Pasco County mom is facing a battery charge after deputies say she threw pizza at a cook, claiming that the food made her child sick. Pasco deputies were called to Olivia's Pizza in New Port Richey on Friday afternoon for the incident. When they got to the scene, they found the owner covered in tomato sauce and several slices of cheese pizza on the floor. The victim told deputies 28-year-old Syeda Saleem purchased a pizza for her child to eat but then wanted a refund because she felt the pizza made her son sick. According to deputies, the victim refused to refund the woman and offered to make her more food at no charge. The victim told deputies Saleem wanted six sodas in exchange for pizza but he refused. That's when the pizza shop owner says Saleem started throwing slices of pizza at him, hitting him in the chest and face. Saleem left the scene but the victim was able to get her license plate information and give it to deputies. When deputies spoke with Saleem at her home, she told them she ordered a Margherita pizza but received a plain cheese pizza instead. When she went to confront the manager, she said he sprinkled some basil on top. Saleem told deputies her son started to eat the pizza but then threw up. She believed the cheese was spoiled and said she wanted to return it. that's why i eat taco pizza , lol |
