Men Give Me A Headache

Well, we respected each other, we worked together, we traveled together, we provided equally, we quarreled maybe once a year or less. We spoiled each other in kindness on special events, and we brought in the tomato plants together. We agreed on frugality. I was called his wife and his widow, most think of him and not me when they see me. I have moved on, but my identity is not restored as an individual in the community where I live. The men here cause headache with their behavior to "claim, parade, ignore, revert and pervert" how they view me.

I believe you have an independent mind and spirit, you don't really need anyone. A sensitivity to the way men treat you could just be a reminder to yourself of who you actually are.

I must confess though, I didn't know you had your significant other taken from you....... My sincerest condolences.

I'll be retiring at the end of the year and my mind is racing over what that will mean, as much as I've loved my work all my life that entire environment has changed into a distorted monster........ I'm over it and want to stay home, at least I think I do hahaha.

Thank you for conversation and condolence. I have another year to retire and have calculated past taxes paid will support me if I live to be 120 years old. That's pretty good imo. I'm sure I'll behave like a child and play in the yard. Hope you play too.

Do you plan to live within the same community in your retirement?

I have always accepted what fate has brought my way and I don't see that changing in the future. Sometimes I have an odd way of playing.....It seems I always need a project to accomplish. I have enough of them to keep me busy until I'm physically or mentally unable..... My work ethic has never changed, WORK, RELAX, WORK, RELAX......etc.

Time will reveal all things. May you continue to find many things to smile about.

It was spring, about this time of year, around barley harvest. Two widow women stood at the crossroads in Moab with Naomi, who was a widow herself. One road led back to Moab. The other road led to Bethlehem. Both of these women had been pagans their entire lives. You never know how events will effect people. Orpah looked to her own financial security and kissed her mother in law goodbye taking the road back to Moab. Ruth, on the other hand, Ruth was a true new moon. Something different motivated her. She wasn't like most women. She didn't look to her own security, but just made a leap of faith out of her former homeland to make the journey to Bethlehem.

You've never been taken for your wealth by a woman. Women give me a headache because I know a lot of fairly well heeled men who have lost everything to a woman. Can't say the same in reverse.
