It's trolls who do that. The whole point of trolling is to disrupt a thread and incite division or angry reactions by way of ad hominem attacks. Usually they don't possess a particularly high IQ or a great command of the language. But it's easy to ignore the troll and only engage in discussion with those who are not trolling.
