Smollett, Trump and 1984

When they left Smollett off free--could that have been done on purpose to make Trump's innocence in collusion look bad--to confuse the issue.

I mean, for those who hate Trump, they have all the more reason to simply continue believing that Trump is guilty and to believe that the problem is with the system.

After all, we all know the Smollett is guilty, but he got a free pass. For those who hate Trump, they can blame it on the crooked system.

They can say Trump is still guilty just like Smollet. The system is crooked! This causes confusion at just the right time for the liberals.

This is the kind of thing that happened in Orwell's 1984. Those in power used the confusion to bring about their objectives.
