Even with a CAB sim it will sound out of whack because its not a flat response speaker, ie its not designed to have a FLAT EQ across all frequencies(FRFR). So you're going to have to hack at your tone with an EQ to try and get rid of the probable bass rumble and lack of mid range punch. |

Even the cheapest, shittiest pawn shop practice amp you can find will sound better. It takes a lot of the fun out of playing guitar when all you can get are shitty sounds from your gear. Out from the belly of a whale came a prophet, Amen! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77525700 What effects pedal would you recommend to help with those issues? Depends on budget. The older Line6 all in one pedals would be quite cheap now 2nd hand. Line6 Pod xt live and such. If you want guitar players heaven, then a Fractal Audio AX8 pedal. But you want to aim to buy some self powered studio monitors.. And if money is no object and you want to gig, then a power amp and an FRFR speaker cab. |
