I remember seeing a video in mid 90s of a research lab taking a 1 inch square of pure carbon and freezing it in the neighborhood of -50 Celsius. It was placed in a plexiglass container and hit with high voltage electricity where it proceeded to lift off the surface of the container about half an inch and spin fast enough it became a blur. When it warmed the cube fell and became as useless as a politician. Anyone seen this experiment?
