Chorizo, Country Ham, Onions, Garlic, Cumin, Chili powder, Cilantro, Diced tomatoes, Black Beans.

Cook chorizo and country ham in pot on medium heat, when some of the fat cooks out (grease), saute the onions. When onions are almost translucent add chopped cilantro stems (reserve the leaves), cumin (heavy to taste), chili powder, garlic, diced tomatoes. Continue on medium until liquid is mostly evaporated and tomatoes have cooked down. Now add beans (2 - 3 large cans). Add water to the cans stirring to get all the bean "juice". Add water to pot until an inch or so above the beans. Bring to a boil, then reduce to med-low for 45 min - 1 hour. Stir occasionally.

place chopped onion and cilantro leaves on top of soup in bowl when serving. Add juice of half a lime. Seve with favorite tortillas.

Love this recipe made it about 4 times in the past 2 months now.

Had it with grilled cheese once.
