Labs are REAL smart,as are several other breeds.

We had a tiny teacup poodle that,upon watching us whiz into the toilet,learned what the toilet was for.

He then started trying to use the toilet,but all he could do was leave a puddle at the base.

We had an American Eskimo- a spitz. She was snow white with a black nose, gorgeous. Of course, watching us do toilet things was fascinating to her.

I had a hollowed out wood piece on the balcony. Came home from work and noticed that she had pooped in it. So, just to see what she would do, we bought a kiddy plastic potty.

Ha, she pooped in it. She'd stand, put her paws on a stand, and squat. LOL

Cats are smart and can learn things, too. Once had a cat who tried to scoop his own fresh poop deposit with the litter scoop but he did not have a thumb to hold it with. It was cute seeing him try, though, as he had seen me do it every time he got done.He was trying to help mama! lol
