The 19th century had opium dens. We have Starbucks.

A little over half a year after it became the "world's biggest public toilet", Starbucks' efforts to address the resulting spiraling drug use (including opioids) in its bathrooms - while alienating as many of its legacy clients as possible - are expanding.

According to Business Insider, Starbucks - which is now moonlighting as a safe house for both needles users across the country - will install needle-disposal boxes in bathrooms in stores in at least 25 US markets in the coming months. By this summer, the chain aims to have installed sharps boxes in bathrooms in all regions where such action has been deemed necessary. In other words, every Starbucks (public) bathroom will soon become a congregation space for both drug users and, soon after, their dealers.

"We are always working and listening to our partners on ways we can better support them when it comes to issues like these," is how Starbucks representative Reggie Borges explained the company's new drug-friendly strategy to Business Insider.

Another reason to never go to Starbucks.

The only good point is that the rest rooms are probably being used by junkies and mentally ill homeless people so you probably won't even get in the door, it'll be occupied for hours on end.

I do feel sorry for the people working there.

There are bins like big Good Will bins for needle disposal that need to be installed away from where anyone can step on a mis-disposed needle.

I don't give a rat's ass that they put in some sort of needle boxes, that doesn't negate the fact that some dumbass shot up and quite possibly could have gotten blood on a sink or something nearby, just disgusting.

Also, the fact that they're now putting in their little needle boxes further will encourage drug users to frequent Starbucks, just brilliant marketing plan.

My little town in the rural mountains was invaded by homeless drug users mostly out of towers dumped from detroit and a few local small cities who shut down their 501c3 fake church and needle exchanges because they are just poverty pimps with federal and state charity funds stuffed in their cunts. They forced them out one way or the other, and they migrated. some locals who lost everything to their addictions were around as well. they were sticking used needles into the municipal flower pots. The town was fucking livid. Now to a large degree the homeless have disappeared some still move around, but a great cleansing occurred, or they found abandoned homes to squat in for the winter. Who knows. Holocaust now.
